The Upper Peninsula Health Plan (UPHP) has a major, ongoing initiative to guide antibiotic use. Through this initiative, UPHP:
Provides physicians with tools to help educate patients about appropriate antibiotic use and symptomatic relief of upper respiratory infections (URIs).
Provides physicians with the most current guidelines for appropriate antibiotic prescriptions for adults and children.
Educates UPHP members and other Upper Peninsula residents about appropriate antibiotic use, antibiotic resistance, and ways to relieve symptoms associated with URIs.
