UPHP Update: March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Here’s What You Need to Know.

During our latest update on Sunny 101.9, UPHP Clinical Coordinator, Renee Anderton, joined Mark and Walt in the Morning to discuss colorectal cancer screening and the importance of early detection.

Anderton outlined some of the risk factors for colorectal cancer as well as some one the main screening options, adding that it’s important to not wait for symptoms to be checked. Precancerous polyps and colorectal cancer do not always cause symptoms, especially early on, and screening helps find it early, when treatment can be very effective.
