UPHP Update: Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures Campaign Underway

During our latest update on Sunny 101.9, UPHP Director of Population Health, Janey Joffee, and Clinical Services Manager, Lindsey Havel, joined Mark and Walt in the Morning to discuss this year’s Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures campaign.

Joffee explained that this year, the campaign is focusing on preventive care for children of all ages by encouraging completion of well-care visits and recommended immunizations, including the COVID-19 vaccination for children age 5 and older. Havel said this year’s Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures campaign is also focused on promotion of recommended vaccinations to pregnant and breastfeeding persons.

The annual campaign is sponsored by Upper Peninsula Health Plan, The Region 1 Perinatal Collaborative, and Upper Peninsula Health Group, and is taking place from March 28th through May 13th.
