Flu Season is Here!

Healthcare professionals recommend getting your flu shot now if you haven’t already, as it takes about two weeks for your body to build immunity.

Dr. Chris Dehlin from Singletrack Health and Dr. Abby Wales, Director of Pharmacy at Upper Peninsula Health Plan, recently joined Tia Trudgeon on the Morning News to discuss common myths and facts about the flu.

You can schedule a flu shot appointment with your Primary Care Provider, even if you aren’t due for a visit. Alternatively, contact your local health department to set up an appointment.

Many pharmacies also offer flu shots. To find a pharmacy near you that provides vaccines, visit vaccine.gov.
